Thanks - I really needed this! I am a substitute teacher who has recently been thrown into the midst of a bunch of middle years students and expected to teach Art for the foreseeable future. Part of the curriculum is Sculpture and I thought with all the snow sculpting going on here (Festival du Voyageur coming up in February), this would be a good time to introduce it. Your sequential pictures in the Gallery are just what I needed to explain the process.

You are awesome! Of course, I always knew that, ever since you spent hours in the van reading to my girls very early in the mornings during balloon flights and chases. I just never realized how artistically gifted you were. We wish you the best on the competitions and the commissioned pieces. May you travel to far away places to do your work and come safely home again. Love you and miss you!

I lecture college freshmen in Art Appreciation and I will include your site in the list of web sites they must visit. I especially like the drawings of your works-in-progress. I am attempting to find something about the Int'l Ice Sculpting Competition in Fairbanks, Alaska. Any suggestions? Maybe they don't have a web page. I was pleased to discover your work on my search. Cool!

I lecture on sculpture and willinclude your site in the list of web sites to visit for contemporary art works. I especially like the drawings for your works in progress. I am attempting to find something about the Int'l Ice Sculpting Competition in Fairbanks, Alaska. Any suggestions? Maybe they don't have a web page. Is snowsculpting comparable to ice sculpting? Both are substractive processes.

WOW. GW - As everyone has already pointed out, you are a very talented person. But even more so, I am blown away by your dedication to your various pursuits - to think we made necklaces together once !
I am so impressed with this latest venture, I will have to squeeze in another trip to USA in to come and see your work.
Then again, a Boxing Kangaroo or Sydney Opera House sculpture on one of our Australian slopes would be a fantastic reason for you to visit here.
Thredbo or Hotham watch out !!!

Love always to you & family - from all of us here in Perth..
